080923-N-9620B-005 - GONAIVES, Haiti (September 23, 2009) - Haitian children sweep up the remains of food and stuff it into their back packs after Haitian relief workers assisting U.S. military service members embarked aboard USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) unloaded food and water to aid those affected by the recent hurricanes. Kearsarge embarked personnel from the Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, along with medical personnel from the U.S. Public Health Service, Canadian Army, Air Force and Navy, Brazil, Project Hope and International Aid are working together to conduct hurricane relief operations in Haiti.
